Went to watch this show yesterday.
Due to my diet of Justice League cartoon series during my childhood, I kinda enjoyed myself very much.
Unfortunately, there seemed to be protests by the other audience members in the whole cinema, where they were all teenage boys. Well, my sisters and cousins and I went to watch. Ok, I know this is extreme fan boy territory, so I shan't make any comments about Hal Jordan and his history, and risked being flamed by saying the wrong things.
All I can say is that they did a really neat job of picking Ryan Reynolds. He looks exactly like the guy in the comic books.
Even if you're not really interested in what the film is about, or you were in the theater by cruel circumstances, you can always check out Reynolds or Lively, their chemistry is great. There is no besotted woman with the superhero, which is typical of usual comic book films, and both seem to be on par with each other, which I think it really is great.
Fans will be a bit disappointed though, fighting scenes too short and we don't see the full prowess of the ring. Humor is still there, and makes it less concentrated to take in. This film dives into the history of the character, which is non comic book readers find it hard to understand or sit through.
Overall, the film's quite enjoyable and may prove to be a bit too heavy with those unfamiliar with the Justice League Characters. This would be a date movie if your man into DC Comics, a must watch for every fan.
