These are massively overdue. I'm caught up with my exams and all I forgot all about it. Here we are today
I think this was leading up to a car park outside the art museum. By luck I got the picture of the man crossing the road without any cars on it. That thing doesn't happen very often.Carpark of a building again. I don't know where this is, but I liked the row of pillars and balconies on the left hand side. It makes a nice contrast between old and new, and the strange river that runs through them both.
Standing outside SMU business block. Looks kinda cool, doesn't it? All those banners.. Hanging by the ceiling, being very hard to clean..
Outside a bus stop, with the epic looking number of buses which stop there. I'm counting up to 25 buses with a night rider. That's really big. And the blurred picture of the tourists on the bus look really cool.
Outside the art museum again. You can get the same thing if you walk around on a Monday morning at about 10am. Most people would be more interested in getting holed up in the office.
Zoom view. I swear that my favorite on the camera other than the shutter is the "zoom" function. I wore out the zoom function on the old one
Outside a office building, where people delivered "fresh" bottled water to the offices upstairs. I never liked drinking from such sources, and I still think the tap water doesn't taste so stale.
Expansion of the Singapore Art Museum. I'm quite obliged to visit it again, cause it isn't one of those clones of shopping malls.
Ha. A church. I don't know what it is called, but the pointy roofs and windows look really beautiful.
Backstreet behind a hostel. There's graffiti of the back wall, and I'm quite surprised it didn't get whitewashed over. Guess the rule only applies to public buildings. I don't know
Can you see the short little building in the distance? Cute, isn't it?
The graffiti wall. It's hard to take the full wall. This is the best that I have.
The quaint little building I took earlier. It's a art gallery, it's a old-style building, and it has a lovely paint job.
Outside the hostel, along the corridor, rows of benches.
Singapore chinese calligraphy association. They have classes for all, and its something good to pick up, it trains patience, it keeps you calm and your words come out beautifully
The other side of the building. A restaurant that isn't open for business yet.
Singapore dance academy. They painted the building light purple?
Along Waterloo Street. This line is mainly old colonial buildings, but the HDBs are built across the street. Many people of the older generation would be very familiar with this street. Go ask your folks or grandparents
Outside the Women's Charter of rights. I like the use of painting the member's names along the walls outside the building, and painting murals along the low wall. The building looks really cool and different.
Along the street again, near the Waterloo Street complex. Back entrance of carpark
I don't know where this was. Outside a restaurant.
HDB high rise in the background, colonial bungalow in the front. Nice contrast
Outside the Singapore Youth Development office (The people who organize the SYF every year). They had a pretty smart use of the space between the 2 blocks as their welcome area, and using open-air concept.
Drain cover. Even the drains look so fascinating to me.
Ceiling of the building would do for me too. I always wonder what is it like climbing on to the horizontal pillar like a cat and jumping off the ledge.
Art Museum. I walked in many circles that day.
Students do drink a lot of coke to get their caffeine fix. I can't remember when was the last time I drank coffee.
Traffic Junction. I must have stood there for a really long while
