Barely a week has passed. And that one week feels like a month.
Suddenly i'm opening the mailbox every single day. At home only my parents did the mailbox opening. I rarely had anything addressed to me, and months could pass before getting a single letter. When I'm here, mail comes in fast and furious, partly because I'm settling everything offline and there are plenty of administrative things to settle.
It feels surreal to stop by the mailbox every time before going up to check if there is a letter, “just in case". This is real life, and there are no more such things as just in case. I'm hoping that I will get letters from home soon.
Sometimes Merida reminds me an awful lot about myself. I am wild, free-spirited, impulsive and sometimes not willing to listen to my mother.
Appearances maybe not so much. My hair is dreadfully short and black.
