And it appears I am the only one here. There isn't anyone around. The carpark is empty, the bicycle racks are unused, and the corridor is silent. I haven't met anybody while I'm walking in to the school, and the student dormitories are eerily silent.
Some part of me says that I have wasted my time turning up for work this week and I should be on a train to Dresden to enjoy the rest of the holiday.
Today really is fantastic. I can leave my keys at the keyhole and lock the door, giving me the privacy to do my things in peace. I also can leave work to do my grocery shopping at lunch.
No one is here. I feel like an idiot.
