Rambling: Blow by Blow- 8 april Part 1

SPAM PHOTO DAY!I will upload all the day's photos on the blog, cause this day is the perfect photo day!

Statue of a warrior who was grave was in the city area. A statue was built to commemorate his endeavors. They do remember and emphasis on historical landmarks. I forgot what exactly what did he do.

River/canal along the city streets. With the trees lining the banks, this really resembles an artwork.

Same setting again, just that I stood closer to the right bank. Imagine taking a slow boat ride through the water. This looks like one of the rivers that pass through in Europe. Maybe they could use this for tourists.

Sonic candy records! They sell music, related merchandise and 10 inch vinyl records. I haven't found the shop in Singapore selling this, but I bought only 1 for my Dad. Should have brought enough to line my wall with the vinyls, or maybe to stack somewhere to make people gasp. Next I need to find a record readers so I don't waste my money. I still want to play them.

Location of the shop taken from the shopping centre. The shopping centre is the 八里台, which means 8 mile pavilion. The place is pretty hip and quiet, and perfect for those who do not like crowds. Although the prices may be steeper here, but I assure you that most stocks here are imported from Japan and Korea, cause many of the shop owners are Japanese or Korean who settled here a long time. The records shop is on the 4th floor, and this is worth a look.

A "wish" wall where shoppers leave their wishes on the wall. As many of the shoppers here are students, many wish to be able to get into a good university. The promotion ended when we were there, if not my wish would have gone up on the wall as well. I'm not going to say what.

Promenade of the park. Why didn't I see any of these earlier?

Spring flowers opening. I want to go back and relive my 5 weeks all over again. The shopping trips are a waste.

A secondary school in the 5 streets. If my school's like that I'll gladly repeat. Why does the school look so nice? Kids who study here are the luckiest folks I know. Who wouldn't want to study in a place like that?

I have a habit of taking photos standing at the road junction, like some guy from LTA doing sand survey. They need to define the different directions clearly.

Bad habit. Real bad.

Street. Slanted camera. Sweltering heat. I held an ice cream.

Bus stop. Just a sign post. No seats or shelter. Singaporeans got it covered.

Street corner again. Don't bother to count how many of such shots.

2nd alternative on being unable to buy the house. Rent.

This one's not bad. Maybe a bit a repair on the pipe. Hey, why not?

Was this outside the stadium? I cannot remember.

Gateway to the village. Even if they call this a village, this would be the So Ho village or something. It's cool, it's quiet and this is the kind of village I want to stay in.

The district code for 安乐村，where I came to by a stroke of luck. Although this time I found it again, we were at the other entrance and there was no way I knew how to get back to the small restaurant again.

Still in the small village. This is from the other side which I didn't manage to walk. It's still pretty, no worries.

Inside the village. Security's tight, there's a guard post, but the area isn't fenced up. And the road's so smooth and worn, I cannot wait to come back and skate on the road. How I want to try that.

A man lounging outside his house for a quick smoke during noon. All the blankets all about seem very distracting.

A rather well preserved house. Looks nice. I wouldn't want to stay here though. It's kinda creepy at night. Brr.

Another one? This one should be a museum or library or something. Such a waste that this is a house.

Blurred foreground, sharp background. That dude looks as though he's smoking while on the road. Or was he talking on the phone?

Ah, University of Tianjin Business studies campus. LIFE IS NOT FAIR!

We got shooed out of the campus (as usual)This was the only things I managed to get. I think this was outside the classroom.

Street photos. Even the pavements have matching tiles. And it's checkered!

I liked the cute short brown buildings on the right hand side. They look like gingerbread houses.

I don't know what this building is for. The remaining photos of the post are taken inside the university. I highly recommend going about in the university if you are in the area. YOU WILL NOT REGRET!

Another one. This looks like a office.

As aforementioned, the school is trying to get their graduation photographs taken near the fountain. Like how do they squeeze so many people into the single photograph? That's how many people are there. Wow.

I don't know what this is. This is not the library, maybe the staff room or a classroom. Dang, it's soo pretty!!!

A plague explaining the place. How come a lucky few study in such epic cool places as these?

This is the school's open area, like the open lawn. Even that looks so pretty. I'm so jealous.

Ah, this is the building plague for the classrooms. Hm, normal protection status. Wasted when the classroom building looks like this

This is where I don't mind studying everyday. Feels like a perfect place to walk around with a camera, taking everything in sight.

Spring flowers in campus. Even this looks like art I don't mind hanging up my wall.

Another student taking photos of the flowers. I feel so inspired by walking around in the school. No wonder students here are so smart. Inspiration flows freely in the school. Why can't every school be like this?

School library. I wonder do they have post degree courses available in the school. I don't see why I can't study in here.

The school kept the original street names. Tribute to their heritage and history.

Nearing the back of the school buildings. I liked the alignment of the windows and parapets, and it makes the photo straight in some way.

School dormitory building. The exterior looks beautiful. The school is in the area of the french colony, so all the buildings are in the french style.

Same place. I liked how the bicycles are aligned against each other.

Loved the way the windows align to each other, the way the pillars stack up from this angle. It's beautiful.

Back of the dormitory. I like the fact that they do put windows on the ground floor. Makes it kinda homey and all.

I don't know what these buildings are, but I liked the color and the path of light. This school is a giant artwork waiting to be examined and appreciated.
